Filter Replacement to Restore Flow and Taste

Sediment and carbon filters are the first line of defence for your RO membrane — and the parts that wear out fastest. A loaded sediment filter chokes flow rate; a spent carbon filter lets chlorine and odour through to the membrane and, eventually, your glass. Swapping these on schedule is the single cheapest way to protect the more expensive membrane behind them.

Common signs you need filters

Water flow has become noticeably slower over the past few weeks
Water has started tasting or smelling different
It's been 4+ months since the filters were last changed
Purifier is due for its scheduled filter change under an AMC

How our filters process works

01

Filter inspection

We check the actual condition of the sediment and carbon cartridges rather than replacing on a fixed date alone.

02

Genuine cartridge fitting

Filters matched to your unit's housing size and micron rating are fitted correctly.

03

System flush

New filters are flushed before use to clear any manufacturing residue.

04

Flow check

Output flow rate is confirmed back to normal before we close the job.

Frequently asked questions

How often do RO filters need replacing?

Sediment filters typically need changing every 3–4 months and carbon filters every 4–6 months, depending on your source water quality and daily usage.

Will replacing filters fix low water flow?

In most cases, yes — a choked sediment filter is the most common cause of reduced flow. If flow doesn't improve after replacement, the issue is usually the pump or membrane, which we'll check separately.

Do you carry filters for all brands?

We stock filters compatible with Kent, Aquaguard, Livpure, Pureit and most other major brands, and can source others on request.
