UF Repair for Ultrafiltration-Stage Faults
Ultrafiltration is often paired with RO to strengthen microbial and cyst removal without electricity dependence, but the UF membrane can foul with suspended solids over time, reducing flow, or develop a hairline crack that lets particles through unfiltered. We inspect the UF cartridge and housing separately from the RO membrane to pinpoint exactly which stage needs attention.
Common signs you need uf repair
How our uf repair process works
UF stage inspection
The UF cartridge and housing are checked separately from the RO membrane.
Cartridge cleaning or replacement
Depending on condition, the UF cartridge is either backwashed or replaced.
Housing seal check
O-rings and housing seals are checked for the source of any leak.
Clarity test
Output water clarity is confirmed before we close the job.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between RO and UF filtration?
RO removes dissolved salts and minerals down to a very fine level and needs electricity; UF removes bacteria, cysts and larger particles without electricity but doesn't reduce TDS. Many systems combine both.
Can a UF cartridge be cleaned instead of replaced?
Often yes, through backwashing, if fouling is the only issue. We check condition first rather than replacing by default.
